Short Films - Transplanted Cities

The Short Films projects are research based where artists from Ranters Theatre and Creative VaQi (KR) spend time inhabiting/researching an urban area. The work was inspired after observing film scenes being shot on location in the CBD of Melbourne where the onlookers became a live audience. 

Spectators are guided through the streets of Melbourne's CBD observing a series of actions, scenes and narrative fragments, sometimes in close-up sometimes distant. The spectator’s framing includes the images of the environment with the ambient sounds, buildings and trees and public all becoming part of the ‘film’.
